Terms, the short version.
By using BillOfSaleMaker you agree to these terms. They're written to be readable. If anything's unclear, email giurgiur99@gmail.com before using the service.
What this service does
BillOfSaleMaker is a self-help tool that takes information you enter and writes it into state-specific vehicle bill-of-sale templates (HSMV 82050 in Florida; similar forms as we add states). We charge a one-time fee of $9.99 per document. That's the entire business relationship.
We are not a law firm
BillOfSaleMaker is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and does not create an attorney-client relationship with you. We fill in the document with the facts you supply, verbatim. If your situation has any legal complexity — an estate, a lien, a contested sale, an out-of-state buyer, a custom warranty, an unusual vehicle — consult a licensed attorney in your state before relying on the document we produce.
Laws governing vehicle sales vary by state and change. We make good- faith efforts to keep our templates current, but the document we produce is not a substitute for professional legal counsel.
Your responsibilities
- Enter accurate information. The PDF reflects exactly what you type. We don't verify that the seller owns the vehicle, that the buyer has the funds, that the VIN matches the title, or that the odometer reading is correct.
- Confirm state requirements. We operate in six states as of April 2026: Florida, Texas, California, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan. Only Florida is fully live at launch. If your DMV has specific additional requirements (a notary stamp, a separate form, a fee we don't collect), meeting them is your responsibility.
- Sign it yourselves. Electronic signatures are valid under the U.S. federal E-SIGN Act (15 U.S.C. § 7001) for a vehicle bill of sale in the states we support. Both seller and buyer must sign in good faith. Signing for another person without authorization is fraud.
- Pay the correct taxes. We don't collect or remit sales / use tax on the vehicle. That's handled by the buyer at the DMV during registration.
Our responsibilities
- Deliver the PDF you paid for, promptly, to the email addresses you entered.
- Keep your data secure (see our Privacy Policy).
- If our system fails and the document isn't generated or delivered, we refund you in full — see our Refund Policy.
What we don't warrant
The service and the documents it produces are provided AS IS. We make no warranty that the document will be accepted by any particular DMV clerk, that it is fit for any purpose beyond serving as a record of the sale, or that it complies with laws not in force on the date of generation. We don't warrant that the service is uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to BillOfSaleMaker is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim — typically $9.99. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages (lost sales, missed registration deadlines, disputes with your buyer / seller).
Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations. Where they don't, the limits apply to the maximum extent permitted.
Acceptable use
- Don't use the service to create fraudulent documents.
- Don't impersonate another person or enter information you don't have permission to use.
- Don't scrape, resell, or rebrand our service. One document per purchase, one purchase per real transaction.
- Don't attempt to disrupt the service (DDoS, exploits, abuse of the VIN lookup endpoint).
We may refuse service, cancel an in-flight document, or refund a completed document if we detect abuse.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. By clicking "Pay $9.99" you authorize the charge. We don't store card details. Our refund policy is at /refunds.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable to our place of business. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be decided in the courts having jurisdiction over our place of business. Nothing in this clause limits consumer-protection rights granted to you by the law of your country or state of residence.
Changes
We may update these terms. If we make a change that materially affects your rights, we'll update the "last updated" date and email any customer with a document on file from the previous 90 days. Your continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
